Some nights test everything a medical team is made of. This is the story of one of those nights — and of a young woman who is alive today because help came in time.
A Critical Arrival
Referred to us at about 10:00 p.m. in critical condition, K.N., aged 23, arrived with a ruptured tubal ectopic pregnancy at 7 weeks and 5 days, severe anemia, and poor vital signs.
There was no time to waste. Our team acted immediately: two urgent blood transfusions, followed by emergency surgery under general anesthesia. About 1,000 mL of blood was evacuated from her abdomen, and a salpingectomy was performed.
She is now clinically stable and under close monitoring. 🙏

A ruptured ectopic pregnancy is one of the true emergencies of medicine — swift, skilled, and compassionate action is the only answer when every second counts. We are grateful that our team, our blood bank, and our operating theatre were ready.
